1. Where
can I purchase Tamrac bags in the U.S.A.?
To purchase a Tamrac bag within the United States, please go to our U.S.
Dealer Listing page, enter your zip code and a search distance between 10
and 250 miles and you will receive the addresses and phone numbers for the
stores within your designated area.
2. Where
can I purchase Tamrac bags outside of the U.S.A.?
To purchase a Tamrac bag outside of the U.S., please go to our International
Distributor Listing for our distributors' addresses and phone numbers and
contact them directly.
3. Where
can I get my Tamrac bag repaired?
For our U.S. customers who need a repair made, please contact our Customer
Service Department at (800) 662-0717 and ask for a Return Authorization
Number ("R.A.#"). Then send in your bag (freight prepaid, in a
clean condition, and with no equipment) with the R.A.# referenced. Turn-around time is approximately 14 working days from the date of receipt. If
your bag is under warranty (5 years from date of purchase), it will be fixed
at no cost to you unless the damage is other than normal wear and tear. If
your bag is not under warranty, we will notify you of the charge prior to
making any repairs. Tamrac ships all repairs, both warranty and
non-warranty, freight collect.
For our customers outside of the U.S., Tamrac products
should be returned to the place of purchase or the Tamrac distributor in
that country for warranty coverage.
4. Are
Tamrac bags water-resistant?
Tamrac camera and video bags are constructed with fabrics that have a thick
waterproof coating which makes the bag material quite weatherproof.
However, the seams are not sealed and the zippers are not waterproof so
extreme exposure to water, such as submersion in part or full, may admit
water into the bag interior. So, while not completely waterproof, our bags'
coatings, their Total Coverage Tops, and Rain Flaps combine to offer
excellent protection against rain, dust and sand. For backpacks which are
going to be carried flat with the front of the pack facing up, (like on the
back of a motorcycle or in the back of a pickup truck), we make a raincover
(Model MX5352/medium, MX5354/large) for models 757, 759, 767, 777, 787 and
5575, which offers additional protection for everything except the back of
the backpack and harness.
5. How
can I clean my Tamrac bag if it gets stained?
For normal dirt: Use a mild soap and mix in one teaspoon per pint of warm
water. Use a clean, white cloth dampened with the recommended cleaning
agent, using the following removal method: Detergent/blot/water/blot.
